- Box of White Cake mix
- Melted butter
- Box of instant vanilla pudding
- Sour cream
- Almond extract
- Almond slivers
- 8 ounces of cream cheese, softened

VARIATION
Like coconut and almond? Add a cup of sweetened flaky coconut to the frosting.


Sour Cream Almond Cake
Ingredients
- 1 (15.25) ounce box of White Cake mix
- 4 tablespoons of butter melted
- 3.4 ounce box of instant vanilla pudding
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup of sour cream
- 1 cup of milk
- 1 teaspoon of almond extract
- 1-2 cups of almond slivers
Frosting Ingredients
- 3 cups of powdered sugar
- 8 ounces of cream cheese softened
- 2 to 3 tablespoons of milk
- 1/2 teaspoon of almond extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350. Spray 8 inch cake pans with cooking spray. Mix together all ingredients (except almond slivers) with a mixer. Pour batter into the cake pans. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until it tests done. Let cool and remove from cake pans.
Frosting Instructions:
- Mix all ingredients together with a mixer. Frost the top of one of the cake layers. Place the other layer on top and frost it with the remaining frosting. Garnish the top of the cake with almond slivers.
- Keep cake in refrigerator. This cake is delicious served cold.
