- Smoked paprika
- Liquid smoke (I used a hickory flavor)

SWAPS
You can easily use smoked turkey sausage or kielbasa for this recipe! Also, feel free to use any flavor of liquid smoke. The brown sugar is optional, but I like adding a bit of sweetness. However, you can certainly leave it out.

Hasselback Smoked Sausage Bites
Ingredients
- 2 (13.9 ounce) packages of Smoked Sausage (can use turkey smoked sausage)
- 2 tablespoons of Mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup of Dijon Mustard
- 1 teaspoon of honey
- 1/4 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 teaspoon of smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon of liquid smoke I used a hickory flavor
- Brown Sugar-optional
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place each sausage ring on a baking sheet. Cut each ring of the smoked sausage into hasselback style. Cut down a little more than halfway, but don’t slice the sausage all the way through.
- Mix the remaining ingredients (except the brown sugar) in a small bowl and then divide the sauce into two bowls. One bowl will be your dipping sauce. Brush the other bowl over the sausage. Make sure two get between the slices. I then sprinkled a teaspoon of brown sugar over the top to add a touch of sweetness, but that is entirely optional. Bake sausages for 20-22 minutes or until browned. Cut each ring into bites and serve with dipping sauce.
REHEATING
These bites and the dipping sauce will keep in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. You can easily reheat them in the microwave or the oven.

Could I use Bratwurst? That is what I have on hand.
Hi Cynthia! Yes, I would think so. Smoked sausage is fully cooked so I would make sure what meat you use is already cooked. Thanks!
These were delish. Didn’t add optional sugar and found the honey made them sweet enough. Super easy to make and got lots of compliments.
Yay!! We’re thrilled they were a hit for you. Thank you for the kind comment!
