French Quarter Cheese Spread
French Quarter Cheese Spread is a sweet and savory appetizer that is out of this world delicious! It is made with cream cheese, toasted pecans, and a wonderful sauce that will leave your guests begging for more!

WHY THIS APPETIZER IS A HIT:
This simple cheese spread takes just minutes to put together and is full of flavor. The toasted pecans with the brown sugar, bring a sweetness, while the cream cheese, onion, garlic, spicy mustard, and Worcestershire sauce add a savory punch. This spread is perfect for a Kentucky Derby party, Mardi Gras party, game night, etc.
KEY INGREDIENTS:
- Cream cheese , softened
- Grated onion
- Minced garlic
- Unsalted butter
- Brown sugar
- Worcestershire sauce
- Spicy brown mustard
- Chopped toasted pecans
- crackers for serving
HOW TO PREPARE:
- Mix the cream cheese, onion, and minced garlic in a bowl until combined. Place the mixture in a serving dish and shape it into a 1-inch-thick circle. Cover with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour or overnight.
- Combine the butter (cut up in smaller chunks to make it easier to melt), brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and mustard in a saucepan. Stir over medium heat for 2-3 minutes or until sugar completely dissolves. Remove from the burner and stir in the toasted pecans.
- Let the topping mixture cool for a few minutes and then spoon over the cream cheese.
- Serve with crackers.
TIP: This can easily be made ahead of time. Just make up the cream cheese mixture a day ahead of time and pour the sauce over before you serve it.

- 1/2 teaspoon of minced garlic
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon spicy brown mustard
- 3/4 cup finely chopped toasted pecans
- crackers for serving
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together the cream cheese, onion, and minced garlic until combined. Place the mixture in a serving dish and shape it into a 1 inch-thick circle. Cover with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour or overnight.

Notes
STORING:
Keep any leftovers in the refrigerator, and then of course…eat them the next day!
