THIS RECIPE IS SO SIMPLE!

We love a simple appetizer, and these Mississippi sausage bites definitely fit that description. This recipe is a take-off of the popular Mississippi Pot Roast. You basically slice smoked sausage and then toss everything into your crockpot for a couple of hours, and it’s done! Seriously, it’s THAT simple. You’ll want to add these bites to your Friday movie night, Super Bowl party, or tailgate. It’s very budget-friendly dish and always receives rave reviews!

KEY INGREDIENTS

  • Smoked Sausage
  • Ranch Seasoning Mix (packet)
  • Au ju gravy mix (packet)
  • Pepperoncini peppers+juice from the jar
  • Unsalted Butter

SWAPS

You could easily use turkey smoked sausage, kielbasa, or little smokies! If you don’t want any heat added to this dish, don’t add the juice from the pepperoncini peppers.

Ingredients
  

  • 28 ounces of Smoked Sausage sliced
  • 1 package of Hidden Valley Ranch Seasoning Mix
  • 1 package of Au ju gravy mix
  • 5-6 Pepperoncini Peppers
  • 1 stick of unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup of Pepperoncini pepper juice

Instructions
 

  • Place sliced smoked sausage in the crockpot. Sprinkle the ranch seasoning mix and the gravy mix over the sausage. Then place the peppers and the butter in the slow cooker. Pour the pepperoncini juice over the top. Cook on low for 2-3 hours, stirring a couple of times.

Notes

If you don’t want any heat or spice in this dish, do not add the juice. Just add a 1/4 cup of water.

STORE AND REHEAT

These sausage bites will keep in an air-tight container in the fridge for 3-4 days. You can easily reheat in the microwave.
