A Favorite Summer Dessert
This Oreo ice cream cake is the easiest dessert EVER! We’ve served it countless times, and it always receives rave reviews. It takes just minutes to prepare. Honestly, the hardest part is taking the ice cream sandwiches out of the wrappers. 🤣 When it’s hot outside, there is nothing better than a slice of this cake out of the freezer! It’s perfect for a weeknight treat or to serve for Memorial Day, July 4th, or your family cookout. If you like ice cream sandwiches, you may love this recipe!

- Oreo Cookies, crushed (I use Double Stuff)
- Hot Fudge Sauce
✔SWAPS
- People always ask, “Can I use real whipped cream?” Sure, you can.
- Feel free to use any flavor ice cream sandwiches, Oreos, etc.

⭐HOW TO STORE
This cake should be kept in the freezer, covered with aluminum foil. It will keep for 5-6 days.

Oreo Ice Cream Cake
Ingredients
- 20-24 Ice Cream Sandwiches
- 16- ounce container of Cool Whip thawed
- 15 Oreo Cookies crushed (I use Double Stuff)
- Hot Fudge Sauce
Instructions
- In a 9X13 dish, layer the ice cream sandwiches on the bottom of the dish. You may have to cut them to fit to the edge. Then spread a thick layer of Cool Whip, followed by crushed Oreo cookies, and drizzle the hot fudge sauce over the top (see note below!).
- Repeat for one more layer. Place the cake in the freezer for 30 minutes, then serve. If you store it in the freezer longer, cover it with aluminum foil.

This looks so good. I will definitely make this. Our summer a here in Arkansas has really been brutal
I’ve made this before but instead of Oreos, I used chopped up Butterfinger candy bars or chopped Reese’s Cups. I know the Oreo’s would be delicious, also! I take this to church potlucks and it always gets eaten completely. It looks like you’ve spent lots of time on a difficult dessert but it’s the easiest dessert ever!
What a fantastic idea! I’ll definitely try the Butterfingers. 🙂
