Ingredients

  • 1 stick butter
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup shredded parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 eggs

Instructions

  • Melt the butter along with 2 teaspoons minced garlic in a bowl in the microwave and set aside. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, black pepper, baking soda and shredded cheese in a bowl. Stir in buttermilk and melted butter with the garlic with a spoon. Stir in eggs last.
  • Spray a 9 x 5 bread pan and add batter. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 40 to 45 minutes until center tests done. Makes 1 loaf.

Notes

We used the minced garlic you buy in a jar in this recipe. Two teaspoons of the jar minced garlic is equivalent to two fresh cloves of garlic if you want to use the fresh.
