Garlic Mashed Potatoes

These easy garlic mashed potatoes are so full of flavor! Oh and you don't even have to peel the potatoes.

Ingredients
  

  • 3 pounds of red or yellow potatoes cut into quarters
  • 3 tablespoons of minced garlic
  • ¾ cup of sour cream
  • 8 tablespoons of butter sliced
  • 1 cup of heavy whipping cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • In a large pot, add the potatoes and garlic and cover with water. Place on the burner and bring the potatoes to a boil. Cook for about 15-20 minutes until the potatoes are tender. Remove from the burner and drain.
  • Mash potatoes with a potato masher while adding the butter, one slice at a time. Then add sour cream and heavy cream, mixing well. Add salt and pepper to taste and enjoy.

Notes

What makes this recipe so simple is you use potatoes you do not have to peel. Of course, you can certainly peel them if you like!
