126 ounce package crispy chicken tendersI use southern style
12Pepperidge Farm slider butter buns
10slicesof provolone cheese
6-8slicesof mozzarella
1cupof marinara sauce
2tbspbuttermelted
1tspof minced garlic
1/2tspminced onion
1/2tspdried Italian seasoning or oregano
1-2Tbspchopped fresh Italian parsley for garnishingoptional
Instructions
Cook chicken on a sheet pan according to package directions. Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray a 9X13 baking dish with non-stick spray. Place the bottom half of the sliders in the pan.
Top with the slices of provolone cheese (you may have to cut a few slices in half to cover the buns). Spread 1/2 cup marinara sauce over cheese, then arrange chicken pieces on top. Drizzle remaining marinara over the chicken. Top with the mozzarella slices.
Place the tops of the slider buns over the cheese. In a small bowl, mix butter, garlic, onion, and Italian seasoning. Brush it over the top of the slider buns.
Lay foil loosely on top. Bake for 20 minutes. Uncover and continue to bake another 3-5 minutes or until lightly golden and cheese has melted.
Serve with additional warm marinara sauce on the side.
