Ingredients

  • 1 26 ounce package crispy chicken tenders I use southern style
  • 12 Pepperidge Farm slider butter buns
  • 10 slices of provolone cheese
  • 6-8 slices of mozzarella
  • 1 cup of marinara sauce
  • 2 tbsp butter melted
  • 1 tsp of minced garlic
  • 1/2 tsp minced onion
  • 1/2 tsp dried Italian seasoning or oregano
  • 1-2 Tbsp chopped fresh Italian parsley for garnishing optional

Instructions

  • Cook chicken on a sheet pan according to package directions. Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray a 9X13 baking dish with non-stick spray. Place the bottom half of the sliders in the pan.
  • Top with the slices of provolone cheese (you may have to cut a few slices in half to cover the buns). Spread 1/2 cup marinara sauce over cheese, then arrange chicken pieces on top. Drizzle remaining marinara over the chicken. Top with the mozzarella slices.
  • Place the tops of the slider buns over the cheese. In a small bowl, mix butter, garlic, onion, and Italian seasoning. Brush it over the top of the slider buns.
  • Lay foil loosely on top. Bake for 20 minutes. Uncover and continue to bake another 3-5 minutes or until lightly golden and cheese has melted.
  • Serve with additional warm marinara sauce on the side.
