Alfredo Marinara Tortellini Bake

This alfredo marinara tortellini bake will quickly become a family favorite. Alfredo sauce, marinara sauce, tortellini, and Italian sausage and cheese makes a fantastic meal!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 (19 oz bags) of frozen cheese tortellini
  • 1 lb ground Italian sausage
  • 16 oz jar of alfredo sauce
  • 25 oz jar of marinara sauce
  • 3 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup of shredded parmesan cheese
  • salt and pepper
  • onions and green peppers optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400F and grease a 9×13 casserole dish.
  • Using a large skillet, cook Italian sausage over medium heat on the stove.
  • Once cooked through, add pasta sauce and alfredo sauce to the skillet and mix well. Add in salt and pepper to taste.
  • Add frozen tortellini to the skillet and stir together.
  • Pour half the pasta into the greased casserole dish and cover with half the mozzarella. Repeat. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the top. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  • Remove foil and bake for another 10 minutes. Sprinkle with parsley or basil and serve.

Notes

You could easily add a half cup of diced onion and green peppers, if you wanted to add veggies. Add them to the skillet and saute for 5 minutes before adding the Italian sausage. Then cook together with the sausage. You could also add a cup of ricotta cheese between the layers of tortellini.
